Mouse Pointer is Missing – How to Repair it?

Mouse is a very important input device in a computer. It will be quite inconvenient to operate your PC if without the help of a mouse. When the mouse pointer is missing on screen, we should fix it in an orderly way.

Software problems

First, check your trouble in the Device Manager sheet.

If your mouse pointer is missing on start or you can not install it when Windows prompts you to, you should check if there is an exclamatory mark beside your PS/2 device in the Device Manager, and the only method to enter this sheet is to utilize your keyboard.

Step 1 Press "Windows" key and "Pause break" key together at the same time to open the System Properties sheet.

Step 2 Press the direction key "?" to switch to "Hardware" tab, click "Tab" key one time and press "Enter" to open Device Manager.

Step 3 In the Device Manager sheet, press "Tab" key one time so as to get into the box. Next click the direction key "?" and go to "Mice and other pointing devices".

Step 4 On "Mice and other pointing devices", press "?" key to extend it.

Second, update your mouse driver.

If an exclamatory mark is next to your pointing device, you should consider updating your mouse driver and the best and the quickest way to perform all your updates automatically is to download a driver tool like Driver Checker.

Third, clean viruses or reinstall the operating system.

If your mouse pointer moves again by restarting your PC, probably your computer has been poisoned and you need to scan and clean all viruses, or reinstall the operating system if the problem system is the culprit.

Hardware Problems

If there is no exclamatory mark beside your PS/2 device, try the following tips:

First, test your mouse on another good computer.

If your mouse is available on another computer, well then possibly your motherboard port is damaged or the mouse is disabled in BIOS. Read your motherboard manual and enable this device in BIOS as per the instructions.

How to Make a Cauliflower-Apple Salad With Homemade Poppy Seed Dressing (Diabetic Friendly)

This salad recipe is not only tasty but it also makes a pretty presentation with its Red Delicious apples and snowy cauliflower. The combination of apples, which are a favorite salad fruit and cauliflower, a common vegetable salad ingredient, is delicious. When you add the homemade Poppy Seed Dressing; the recipe follows, you have a great tasting salad. And this salad and dressing are also diabetic friendly. No need to make a regular salad and one for the diabetics. Everyone will love this one. For a special presentation, divide the salad evenly among six salad plates that have been lined with lettuce leaves. Or serve directly from the bowl.

CAULIFLOWER-APPLE SALAD WITH POPPY SEED DRESSING

2 large, unpeeled Red Delicious apples, thinly sliced
1 cup cauliflower florets, in small pieces
3/4 cup Poppy Seed Dressing (recipe follows)
Lettuce leaves, optional

In a medium bowl that has a lid, combine the apple slices with the cauliflower. Add the poppy seed dressing and toss lightly to coat evenly.

POPPY SEED DRESSING:

1 egg
3/4 cup Splenda granular
1 tbsp instant minced onion
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
1/2 tsp poppy seeds
1/2 tsp sesame seeds

In a blender container, combine the egg, Splenda, onion, and Dijon mustard; process until mixture is smooth.  While the blender is running, gradually pour the Italian salad dressing into the mixture in a thin, steady stream, processing until well blended.  Stir in the poppy and sesame seeds.  Pour into a jar with a lid and refrigerate until completely chilled.

Note: This dressing is also good on fresh fruit salads.  If you do not want to use raw egg, you may substitute 1/4 cup of egg substitute.

Digital Cameras - How They Work

Digital cameras come in various sizes, shapes, and specifications and offer a variety of impressive features.

Digital cameras are quickly gaining popularity around the globe. Many people already own one and routinely use it for their own pictures. Their use have become part of the culture among many communities and industries.

Digital cameras also have become part of a broad package of combined features with other hand-held tools, such as PDA devices and cellular phones. This makes the use of both devices much more convenient, having them combined in one, rather than two or more, functional instruments.

Digital cameras, moreover, not only can be used for still photos as with conventional cameras, but also for taking videos. An owner needs only to upgrade the camera's memory card to increase storage capacity.

The marketplace offers a number of digital camera brands that provide a wide range of features. Olympus, Canon, Nikon, Kodak, and HP are some of the better-known brands of cameras offering the conventional 35mm to digital. Other key camera manufacturers include Sony, Panasonic, and Casio.

Digital Camera Considerations

Differing from conventional cameras, digital cameras have a small LCD screen, and sometimes an LCD screen plus viewfinder. The LCD screen is similar to TV screens that allow the photographer to see the picture, even before snapping it. Some have large screens that enable the photographer to see more of the subject and background.

Digital cameras also come with memory slots that hold a memory card or "stick." The amount of memory available in them ranges from megabytes to gigabytes. Of course, the more memory, the greater the cost. However the extra storage capacity may be well worth the additional expense.

Another purchasing concern is the battery. Some digital cameras use disposable batteries. However, they wear out quickly, so most people recommend rechargeable batteries for longer energy life. Typically a rechargeable battery and a charger come in bundle with the camera unit.

Finally, consider the way the pictures are downloaded. Though many digital cameras come with a USB port which easily connects to a computer, there are others that necessitate removing the memory card and positioning it with a reader to download pictures.

Digital Camera Features

Camera buyers should know at least the basic features of their camera of choice before making an expensive purchase. Though the snapping of pictures is fundamentally the same from camera-to-camera, there are features that make one brand more appealing than others.

For example, the number of mega pixels used when taking pictures - meaning millions of pixels that help with the clarity of the pictures - should be one of the primary considerations to most buyers. Pixels are the individual "dots" that make up the content of pictures.

As such, cameras offering a greater number of pixels can produce larger images with better resolutions than those with less. Be aware, though, that cameras using a more pixels consume more camera memory when storing the images.

The camera's zoom function is also critical. Most digital cameras are enhanced with a two-zoom capability; the optical and digital. Optical zoom uses a moving lens and makes the subject in the picture appear closer, while digital zoom crops or stretches the image.

Finally, don't neglect the importance of the camera case's durability. Some digital cameras are made predominantly of plastic materials - and are consequently more fragile - while others are comprised of a combination of plastic and metal alloy.

Either type has limitations in the amount of jarring that can be sustained without internal damage. Spend a little extra money to purchase a case that will protect your camera investment.

how do I get out of my lease?

I live in Palm Beach County, Florida. I'm trying to figure out how to get out of my lease. My landlord lives in Georgia and doesn't care about our place at all. We're having major problems with the sink, mold is starting to grow. The bottom of the cabinet underneath is rotting away. I really think it's starting to become a health hazard. The a/c backs up all the time, and we have to flush it out or water will leak out of the ceiling.

What potting soil to use with a night blooming cereus?

I just got a cutting in the mail and don't know whether or not to use an epiphytic orchid soil (i.e.bark) or a cactus sand. This actually isn't a cereus. It is technically an "Epiphyllum oxypetalum." Most people know it though as a night blooming cereus.

Since epiphyllums grow in the crotch of trees, they like a soil miix with a lot of leafmold in it. Do not use an epiphytic orchid soil or cactus sand. You can make you own with a good potting soil and a lot of clean, well aged compost, and maybe 10% sand for good drainage, but not too much, as epiphytes' roots should never completely dry out.

I've always had several growing, including one given to me by a woman who had it for 25 years without it ever blooming. I've had it for twenty with not better luck, but a friend has one he's shaped into a tree and he gets 25-40 flowers every year. The night blooming cereus is the jungle variety from which the hybrid epiphyllums were developed.

Lucky you I have tried to get a ginger root to grow (maybe i watered it too much. the ones i bought at the grocery store. they sprout. but won't grow. Maybe i should keep on trying . I buy fresh ginger root at the grocery store all the time grate it and make tea. I add honey(and lemon) and just use a little grated ginger root because it is hot but good for a cold or even if you just want a cup. It can be used other ways as well. I would more then likely make a good massage oil-i have never tried it -not yet anyway.. Whole cloves is good for that but you need to close it up in a bottle of oil(olive oil works) and let it set for quit a while. Now you are giving me some ideas--Thanks.
